Couple Photoshoot at Sunset in Bergen aan Zee

The beach at sunset is one of my most favourite settings for a romantic photoshoot. Not as vibrant and cheerful as it is in the summer, the beach somehow seems to be calmer and more quiet as if it managed to mature quickly in a few months through the cold winds from the North Sea. With a soft-warm sunset, this has become one of our most favorite places for a romantic winter photoshoot. Have you ever experienced the self satisfaction, the unspeakable happiness when you know that your work has an impact (even very small) on someone else? The first time I was lucky enough to feel it was after this mini session with M&J.

It was one of the earliest shoots we did in our photographing career but has always held its place here on our website as well as in our hearts. M texted me a long and very personal message (that I’ll keep the details for ourselves) telling me that by watching the photos I took, she could see their whole history together, all the love they share and how beautiful J was as a person, as her lifetime partner. These words have since become my work motivation, to be able to convert happiness and love into photography materials, which our clients can keep, look back once in a while and share with others.
