I am Quynh - the photographer
The summer of '99, during our family vacation, my parents, in an unwanted but hilarious way, discovered my love for photography as I secretly used up the whole film roll in their brand-new glacier blue Fujifilm camera. Despite the fact that my dad had to spend the first few hours of the trip trying to buy another roll and the hassles of having film rolls developed, my parents still made a small collection of the silly shots I took that day. I was to the moon happy thinking they definitely loved the fantastic pictures I shot. Eventually I learnt that, it was how I, as a child, looked at the world, an unforgettable memory my parents cherished.

Fast forward through all the years, I grew up a lot in all aspects compared to the child in '99, including my skills and knowledge of photography. I have not, for once, regretted to leave a considered well-achieved academic path behind to become a full-time photographer. As I learn, make pictures, select and edit them diligently and delicately, my perception of beauty also evolves. However, one thing still and always will stay true to me: the most beautiful moments are the moments spent with your loved ones. Therefore, as a photographer, I want to be able to not only deliver amazing photos, but also to capture your unforgettable moments with all the emotions and re-tell them proudly through my work so that you and your loved ones can look at and relive the event to the fullest.

I met Tim in 2016 during his first vacation ever in Asia. Now that I am writing about him, I start to think about how magical it is for two complete strangers to fall for each other despite their differences. We are like two ends of a ruler, exactly the same but also exactly opposite. Although we are both science freaks, as an Artificial Intelligence engineer, Tim is so much more technical than I am with the cameras and editing. When it comes to filming, he makes sure all the settings are correct and are optimized for the situation while I take care of the posture, the lightning and etc. He is creative in his own way, the way that I can never envision at first, but somehow always turns out to be is exactly what our clients love at the end.

A previous customer once told me: "It is not the camera but the person who controls it that makes a great picture." The words just simply warmed my heart. Being able to make a living with what you love to do and what you are good at, how cool is that? Building DiscussTomorrow, I not only get to meet a lot of interesting people but also get a chance to actually learn to know them, by listening and sharing their stories, by planning and working with them.
